Liz and the film crew get Case back to her studio with plans to interview her. But it looks like she’s still adjusting to the new hardware. How long will it take before she’s back to normal? Will the headaches continue for long?

Case gets the surgery done, and everything seems to be okay. As she stumbles out of the engineering building, Case gives a thumb’s up! But is she really okay? What will she feel like after the anesthesia wears off? That’s yet to be seen.

After determining that she can get the implant taken out after a short trial, Case begins to reconsider the idea of going through with the surgery. At the suggestion of a good friend, she goes to get a 3D MRI scan of her brain, just to make sure it is in healthy working order. She shows the scan of her brain while discussing the rationale for her choice.

Case reconsiders the idea of the being one of the first to get a new surgical procedure that might possible affect her brain. She discusses the pros and cons of the potential effects of the procedure on her well-being and ability to participate in the community around her. What do you think Case should do?

Case tries to connect to someone who has had the Bexis-Zed device installed. The conversation happens through IRC. The information is not entirely clear, and there are limited replies. Case concludes that she is in no way, “more or less convinced of the technology”, and that she needs, “more information in order to make an informed decision as to whether to continue with the procedure”.

Live Interview with Doc Normal and Cami Kaos

On May 11th, 2010 at 7P PST, Doc Normal and Cami Kaos kicked off the documentary film with a set of live interviews. Most of the documentary filmmakers were present:

• Randy Thorton (over Skype chat, as he wasn’t be able to be there in person.)
